Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 September 2026
These terms apply to your use of the The Dietitian's Kitchen website, including our recipes, meal planning tools, energy needs calculator and Pilates Studio (the "Service"). The Service is provided by The Dietitian's Kitchen ("we", "us"). When you use the Service or buy from us, your agreement is with The Dietitian's Kitchen.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
The Service offers dietitian-designed recipes, meal planning and shopping list tools, and online Pilates classes. Pilates Classes 1–8 are free. Full Pilates Studio access is available as a once-off purchase that gives you 12 months of access to all classes from the date of payment.
3. Accounts and eligibility
Some features require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in access confidential, and you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be of legal age to make a purchase, or have permission from a parent or guardian. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
4. Payments and orders
The Dietitian's Kitchen is the seller for all orders. Payments are processed securely by PayFast by card (Visa / Mastercard) or Instant EFT. We never see or store your card or banking details.
Annual access is a once-off payment of R1,000 for 12 months and does not renew automatically. Monthly access is R90 per month, charged automatically by PayFast every month until you cancel; access stays active while your subscription payments succeed. Members who paid R300 under the previous plan keep their access until their current expiry date. Access starts once PayFast confirms your payment. Prices are shown in South African rand (ZAR). See also our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any law;
- commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate others;
- infringe our or anyone else's intellectual property, including copying, recording, reselling or redistributing classes or recipes;
- interfere with the security of the Service, including introducing malware, probing for vulnerabilities, or scraping content;
- share your paid access with others, reverse engineer the Service, or circumvent access restrictions.
6. Intellectual property
The Dietitian's Kitchen retains ownership of the Service and all related intellectual property, including recipes, text, videos, software, design and branding. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial use during your access period.
7. Health information
Recipes, nutrition values, energy estimates and Pilates classes are general information and are not a substitute for individual medical, dietetic or physiotherapy advice. Consult a qualified health professional before starting a new diet or exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, injured or have a medical condition. Exercise at your own risk. Prices and product availability shown for Checkers and Woolworths are estimates only.
8. Service availability
We work to keep the Service running well, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available. We may change, update or remove content or features from time to time.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. Access to paid content also ends when your 12-month access period expires or if a payment is refunded or reversed.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as loss of profits or data). Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes will be handled by the South African courts.
